HFA Announces 2025 Leadership Team and New Board Members

The Home Furnishings Association (HFA) has announced its 2025 slate of officers and the addition of six new
members to its board. These appointments reflect the association’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the home
furnishings industry and provide valuable support to its members.
2025 Slate of Officers:
- Past President: Matt Schultz, John V. Schultz/Levin Furniture
- President: Dave Koehler, Johnny Janosi
- President-Elect: Nora Gomez, NFM (Nebraska Furniture Mart)
- Secretary: Randilynn Talsma, Blended Furniture Market
- Treasurer: Jared Simon, Simon’s Furniture
New Board Members for 2025:

Paris Gholston, Customer Relations Coordinator, Mattress Recycling Council
Based in Washington, D.C., Paris Gholston has been with the Mattress Recycling Council since 2015. Her work
focuses on promoting nationwide mattress recycling and collaborating with teams across finance, government
affairs, and marketing.

Bailee Nebeker, Owner, American Homestead Furniture
As an entrepreneur with a background in digital marketing, Bailee Nebeker brings hands-on experience in managing
multiple retail locations. Her expertise in consumer engagement through digital and social strategies adds a
fresh perspective to the board.

Eric Poupard, Vice President of Sales, Hudson’s Furniture
Eric Poupard has nearly a decade of experience in sales and operational strategy. His innovative approach to
driving operational improvements will provide critical insights for HFA’s initiatives.

Rebecca Reeder, President, La-Z-Boy Retail Furniture Galleries
Overseeing 168 company-owned La-Z-Boy stores, Rebecca Reeder focuses on creating a high-quality customer
experience. Her operational expertise will contribute to the board’s efforts to elevate retail standards.

Peter Theran, President, Boston Interiors
Leading a regional chain of seven showrooms, Peter Theran offers a wealth of knowledge in consumer needs and
retail management. His leadership will bring a well-rounded perspective to the board.

Matthew Waugh, Executive Director of Finance & Operations, Furnitureland South
With nearly two decades of experience, Matthew Waugh specializes in operations management and supply chain
optimization at Furnitureland South. His expertise will support HFA’s focus on operational excellence.
The new board members represent a broad spectrum of industry experience and will contribute to the HFA’s
mission to promote growth and innovation among home furnishings retailers.
