United Fabrics and Sunbrella Launch Red Rocks Collection Inspired by the Southwest

United Fabrics and Sunbrella have unveiled the Red Rocks Collection, the latest in their collaborative Roadtrip Series. Inspired by the landscapes of the American Southwest, the collection features 24 SKUs, including four new performance fabric patterns in earth-toned colorways. This marks the second release in the series, following the Coney Island Collection earlier this year.

“The Roadtrip Series, a collaborative line with United Fabrics, embodies the freedom of travel, with its next destination set in Colorado,” said Tracy Greene, design director at Sunbrella. “Inspired by the Southwest's striking landscape of red rock mountains, soft blue skies and green cacti, this collection translates the spirit of the open road into textile form, capturing the essence of exploration and adventure.”

The Red Rocks Collection is designed for both residential and commercial use, with fabrics that meet ACT standards, including abrasion test certifications ranging from 55,000 to 100,000 double rubs, depending on the pattern.

United Fabrics, a long-time source for Sunbrella materials, continues to offer fabrics that focus on durability and performance. Sunbrella fabrics are known for features such as colorfastness, cleanability, and stain resistance, making them suitable for indoor and outdoor use.

“With the Red Rocks Collection, we had the opportunity to feature more texture and bold color from the Sunbrella portfolio,” said Lindsey Josepayt, vice president of design and marketing at United Fabrics. “The rich palette of colors found in the American Southwest inspired our use of color to evoke a sense of warmth and nostalgia in these textiles. For example, in pattern Camper, we introduced a performance bouclé yarn to recall memories of evenings spent near a campfire with a cozy blanket.”

Patterns in the Red Rocks Collection:

  • Landscape – An organic stripe pattern reflecting rocky formations and mountain ranges, offered in natural, earthy tones.
  • Camper – A plaid pattern with bouclé yarn that adds texture, designed in colors that celebrate the outdoors.
  • Miles – A multi-color performance fabric now available in new colorways to complement the collection’s nature-inspired palettes.
  • Switchback – A modern twist on houndstooth with jagged, irregular forms mimicking rugged landscapes.

The collection is available exclusively through United Fabrics to the design trade.
