CIFF Shanghai 2024 Concludes with Focus on Design and Innovation

The 54th edition of CIFF Shanghai, the International Furniture Fair, recently concluded at the National Exhibition and Convention Centre in Shanghai Hongqiao. The event, themed ‘Design Empowerment - Dual Internal-External Drive,’ brought together over 1,300 brands across 300,000 square meters of exhibition space, covering the entire furniture supply chain. Featured areas included the Design Eden – Contemporary Design Trade Fair, Sofa Pavilion, Smart Sleep Pavilion, and more, hosting five distinct fairs: CIFF WMF, CIFF Upholstery Tech, CIFF Offices & Public Spaces Exhibition, CIFF Urban Outdoor Furniture Exhibition, and CIFF Home Textiles & Accessories Lifestyle Exhibition.

The fair saw 89,433 trade visitors, with 10,486 attendees from abroad, marking an 18.31% increase in international participation. This uptick highlights Chinese companies' ongoing shift from product export to brand export.

Among the featured exhibitors were CAMERICH, which emphasized sustainability with its "Transit Garden" concept, showcasing a zero-waste strategy. HC28 Cosmo demonstrated its approach to modular product manufacturing, while CHIC CASA partnered with Rison Home and V-ZUG appliances to create an artistic home experience. COOMO focused on lifestyle and comfort, and DAaZ presented minimalist designs with unique proportions.

Additionally, Higold introduced designs inspired by the 1960s, while MARATTI’s "Earth Forest Space" project aimed to support agile organizational communities.

The event also featured 15 exhibitions curated in collaboration with top designers and brands, covering a range of themes such as design, lifestyle, artificial intelligence, and more.
