Therapedic International is introducing a new adjustable base program in collaboration with South Bay International, aiming to enhance the bedding category for retail partners. The program is structured to be straightforward to implement, profitable, and includes a drop-ship option.
The growing consumer interest in adjustable bed bases for their functional and health benefits is a trend Therapedic CEO/President Gerry Borreggine believes will provide a significant opportunity for retailers. The partnership with South Bay International brings expertise to the program, offering two models equipped with features that are anticipated to drive promotions and increase attachment rates.
South Bay CEO Toby Konetzny highlights the program's financial benefits for retailers, noting, "Our adjustable bases offer retailers a healthy margin of 40 to 50 points with attachment rates around 30%."
Pilot programs in the Midwest and New England have reported positive results, with Darren Sodikoff of Therapedic Midwest citing an excellent consumer response. Mitchell Levine of Therapedic New England emphasized the drop-ship component as particularly advantageous for retailers, addressing warehousing and logistics concerns.
The Flex200 model offers a wireless remote, presets for flat and zero gravity positions, three memory settings, and a durable mesh and fabric wrap. It supports a combined weight of 850 lbs. for the mattress and users. Additional features include a mattress retainer bar, emergency battery backup, and versatile leg options. The higher-end Flex300 model adds dual massage with variable intensities, USB charging ports, and underbed lighting.
Both models, constructed with robust steel frames and reliable motors, come in sizes ranging from Twin XL to Cal King Split and are ready for FedEx drop-shipping.
