imm cologne To Introduce New Concept In Modern Furnishings Showrooms At January Market

Furniture World News Desk on 12/26/2013

imm cologne reported that in advance of the January 2014 show in Cologne, Hall 10.1 will get a great new look that will include...
  • New concept for the Prime segment in Hall 10.1 – modern furnishings staged to make an impact

  • Special show with trend installations based on the motto "Worlds to Discover"

  • Positive feedback from the almost 60 exhibitors in the already fully booked hall
Based on the motto "Worlds to Discover", there will be a special area featuring a trend show and VIP lounge. The new concept will be accompanied by a broad-based media campaign that will also run in English so as to increase its appeal for international trade fair visitors and interior designers.

Hall 10.1 mainly includes manufacturers showing high-quality modern living room and bedroom furniture, solid wood furniture, tables, chairs, dining rooms and period and reproduction furniture. This area has been completely booked out for some time now and will accommodate almost 60 exhibitors, including manufacturers such as Anrei, Bert Plantagie, Dan Form, Decker, Göhring, Gwinner, Habufa, Hartmann, Holtkamp, Lavida, Niehoff, Moll, Paidi, Reinhard, Selva, Venjakob, Voglauer, Wössner and Wöstmann.

Under the motto "Worlds to Discover" (German: "Alles für Entdecker"), national and international trend scouts from the retail sector, architects and interior designers will find ideas for room solutions and buyers will find export hits like chairs and benches, XXL tables and a wealth of storage space solutions. Hall 10.1's attractiveness is to be enhanced with a supporting programme and, in particular, attract visitors who are in search of solutions for complete rooms or spaces. Besides the restructuring, the concept also includes a special area with a central trend show that will collate and give special emphasis to the latest tendencies, as well as a VIP lounge.

Across the board, exhibitors' response to the ideas for "their" hall has been very positive: many of them are looking forward to the new concept and hoping for more visitors. In addition, a number of them will have the opportunity to present themselves a second time in the special trend show. Like the entire modified concept for the hall, its innovative new focal point was developed in close collaboration with Koelnmesse's Creative Director Dick Spierenburg and is divided into the four areas "solid wood", "tables and chairs", "wall units and boards" and "children's furniture".

"We've set ourselves the goal of scrutinising all our hall concepts and energetically addressing anything we think we can optimise," explains imm cologne Project Manager Uwe Deitersen. "Hall 10.1 is a very good example of what we can achieve in collaboration with our exhibitors. We are creating additional content in Hall 10.1 and thus making the segment even more attractive to a wide audience."

Koelnmesse is accompanying the new hall concept with a broad-based communication campaign in print and digital media. Besides an image folder, there will also be newsletters dedicated exclusively to the Prime hall. The trade fair organisers are also very much committed to providing the communications in English too so as to facilitate orientation for international visitors.
