WANT TO FIX MY 50 YEAR OLD LA-Z-BOY MECHANISM

Post New Topic

HI, I have a recliner that I know to be about 50 years old. I think it to be a La-Z-Boy however, I cannot find anything on the chair to substantiate that. On the steel recliner mechanism there is a stamp "General Steel patient pending High Point N.C." And that is who I think I am looking for. I need to replace the steel recliner mechanism. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you,

I can't imagine that you will be able to find a replacement, but I posted your message to furninfo.com. I assume that this chair has sentimental value for you so I posted you message. There are a couple of very large companies that make reclining chair mechanisms these days. I've never heard of General Steel.
