INFO ON TELL CITY CHAIR

Hello. Perhaps you could help me locate more information on the Tell City Chair Company. My father recently bought a black and gold rocking chair for my mother for $14. On the bottom of the chair is a tag from the Tell City Chair Company, Tell City, Indiana. The tag designates the chair as pattern #677 1/2. Any information you could provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. .

Dear Cindy, After a particularly nasty strike about 10 years ago, Tell City closed. I expect that the chair has more sentimental value than monetary and that it isn't worth taking the time trying to track down what scant general information you might find out about the company.
